We have several schemes that families can apply to throughout the year and once assessed they will be able to benefit from them.

EV Educational Development programme (Inc CPD)

Invest in effective professional development of those working for the Foundation in order to enhance on skills that will benefit the organisation and its users.

Also give educational and professional opportunities to vulnerable Individuals so that they can up-skill, en hance professionally and create greater and more positive opportunities.

EV Home Scheme

Through this initiative, we make sure that every family and individual has the essential furniture they need for their homes. Additionally, we support in repairing and maintaining their living spaces to ensure they meet a safe and dignified standard of living.

EV Well-being Scheme

Living in financial hardship can have a devastating impact on your sense of self-worth, your wellbeing and on your mental health. People living in financial hardship are disproportionately affected by depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. For this reason, we invest to make sure that adults and children are seen by professionals to help them lead a healthier and happier life.

EV Rent Scheme

The EV Rent Scheme is a vital initiative aimed at helping families or individuals experiencing financial hardship to afford their housing costs. By providing rental assistance, we strive to alleviate the burden of financial stress, ensuring that individuals and families have a stable and secure place to call home. This support contributes to creating a more resilient and empowered community, fostering a sense of stability and well-being.

EV Celebration Scheme

The EV Celebration Scheme is all about spreading joy and making special occasions memorable for children and families in need. Whether it's celebrating milestones like communions and confirmations or joyous occasions like birthdays and Christmas, we ensure that every child and their family feel the warmth of celebration. By catering to their needs during these special moments, we aim to bring happiness and a sense of normalcy, fostering a positive impact on their lives.

EV Food Voucher Scheme

On a daily basis, The EV Foundation extends a helping hand to various families through food provisions or vouchers. This ongoing effort involves a significant annual investment, amounting to thousands of pounds. This commitment underscores the foundation's dedication to addressing immediate nutritional needs and alleviating the financial burden on families facing food insecurity.

EV Appliance Scheme

Essential household appliances such as fridges, freezers, washing machine and cookers, have become the most requested grant items.

Living without these items, which many of us take for granted, has serious financial, physical and emotional implications. On a weekly basis we assist many families or individuals who need an appliance.

EV Education Scheme

Children from deprived families are at greater risk of falling behind or dropping out education too early.

For this reason, we offer after school lessons and activities, to ensure they are supported educationally and offered electronic devices such as Laptops, iPads, Printers and Mobiles should they need it.

We also support young adults who are attending University abroad with financial assistance.

EV Empowering and Mentorship Scheme

Empowering individuals is one of our main goals within the Foundation. It is proven that empowering the most vulnerable is essential to our society in order to create a healthier community.

By investing in empowering them, they live a safer, fulfilled and productive life. We offer them a chance to reach their full potential and contribute their skills to greater work opportunities.

We liaise with businesses that are willing to Mentor individuals. The EV, mentor and mentee agree to a partnership, where they work collaboratively toward the achievement of mutually-defined goals that will develop a mentee's skills, abilities and knowledge.

PROJECTS

Uniform appeal

Every year we reach out to the community to donate uniform vouchers so that every child starts the new school term with brand new uniforms and have uniforms for throughout the year. 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 £8,000.00 was spent on uniforms, shoes, satchels, lunch boxes, flasks, stationary, educational items and haircuts. 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 £12,000.00 was spent on uniforms, shoes, satchels, lunch boxes, flasks, stationary, educational items and haircuts.

Christmas Appeal

The EV Foundation's Christmas Appeal, an annual initiative since 2014, unites our community in spreading joy during the festive season. This heart-warming project involves the generosity of donors and active participation from volunteers. Hundreds of families benefit from essential items, making Christmas magical for those in need. Over the years, this initiative has touched the lives of over 2000 children. Join us this year to continue this impactful tradition.

Children's Christmas Party

The EV Foundation believes every child should have the right to feel the festive season in a joyous manner, and for this reason every Christmas we hold our annual children’s Christmas party.

They experience receiving gifts from Father Christmas and being part of the festive spirit.

EV Wish campaign

Isla Magica, October 2021

October’21, saw us taking over 15 families, (50 individuals) to Isla Magica Sevilla, to spend a dream weekend in the Andalucian theme park.

All costs were covered and the families were able to enjoy a weekend away in a luxurious hotel and forget about their stresses back at home.

Summer Waterpark day out

Every summer families are taken to nearby water parks in Spain.

Regardless of their age, a water park is a great place to take a break from your daily routine and enjoy some exhilarating fun with your loved ones.

You won’t only capture enough memories but also have an enriching experience while having a good time with your family, away from the hustle-bustle of life.

Euro Disney April 2023

13 members of 3 families were able to live the magic of Disney.

Families who took this vacation together can testify to the amazing bond that was created through this opportunity.

The Children especially were able to benefit from everything that comes with the travelling to another country. Different cultures, cuisine and new experiences.

We offered magic and they were able to create and live it.

Microsoft & Excel basics course

Jan'22

9 candidates were presented by his Worship the Mayor Mr Christian Santos, with a certificate of completion on a 10 week course of Microsoft/Excel basic course.

With this partnership, we aim to close the technology gap and upskill adults who would never have had this opportunity.

For adults who lack familiarity with computers, life in the modern age can be a challenge. That’s because technology is involved in almost every aspect of our lives: we need it for work, school, keeping in touch, day-to-day task management, remote education and even online shopping.

Budgeting workshop

July saw us giving a two day Budgeting workshop to 9 individuals from low income backgrounds or that are non-employed.

The EV Foundation partnered with HM Government of Gibraltar’s Department for Training and Rock Learning Gibraltar and what a successful workshop it was.

Participants were able to discuss and find ways to budget wisely, tips, where to go for help and many other benefits were taught on the day.

First Aid training course

Oct'22

A 2 day First Aid training course was offered to 12 individuals on low income or non-employment.

The training covered Emergency first aid at work and Paediatric CPR.

The 12 participants were handed certificates of completion and competence by Emma & Dee from Heart Starterz.

All participants will be able to use their training for work opportunities, for personal use and to make our community a safer one.

The EV Foundation facilitated valuable online courses, offering individuals the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge. Two notable courses included "Effective Customer Service Skills," focusing on equipping participants with essential customer service abilities. Additionally, the "Elderly Care & Caring for the Disabled" course aimed to provide insights and training for those involved in caregiving, promoting compassionate and effective care for elderly individuals and those with disabilities. These courses contribute to personal development, opening doors to new opportunities for the participants.
